Dr.
Edward M. Meshberg is a Clinical Psychologist with over
25 years of experience in the field. He began in the late 1970’s as
a volunteer crisis counselor, and graduated from California State
University, Los Angeles with a M.S. in Psychology. He went on to
earn his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Cambridge Graduate School
of Psychology in Los Angeles, California, in 1991.
As a Social Worker III for the Los Angeles County
Department of Children and Family Services, Dr. Meshberg responded
to emergencies in the inner city. Several years later, he worked as
a group leader and team leader, working with chronically mentally
ill adult and geriatric patients.
These experiences provided the background for Dr.
Meshberg’s later work working with troubled youth with behavioral
and psychological problems, and, eventually, to screening and
assessing correctional clients.
At present, Dr. Meshberg continues to offer
psychological services to these clients, while conducting a private
clinical practice. He currently provides: (a) preoperative
evaluations for surgical patients, (b) forensic services and
testimony as an expert witness, and (c) services as an Employee
Assistance Program provider. In addition, Dr. Meshberg’s practice
includes individual, conjoint, and group therapy for children,
adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. |
